RETURN OF THE MIKE?

Today's Gulls news surrounds the first-choice goalkeeping position, with the announcement that Simon Rayner has finally completed his move to Crawley Town after much speculation.
Crawley's keeper from last season, ex-Gull Ashley Bayes, has joined the influx at Stevenage.
That might just open the way for the return of Michael Poke, who was mighty impressive during a loan spell with us last season. Poke is still on the books at Southampton, but heaven and earth could be shifted to get him back at Plainmoor.
It's all in Friday's Herald Express and at http://www.thisissouthdevon.co.uk/

WE'LL be seeing Kyle Critchell again next season, but not in the yellow of the Gulls.
The 21-year-old defensive midfielder, who played at under-21 level for mighty Wales, has become Wrexham boss Brian Little's fifth signing of the summer.
Critchell began his career at Southampton as a trainee, before playing league football on loan at Torquay and earning a move to Chesterfield. He joined Weymouth at the start of last season and has now joined wrelegated Wrexham for a 'nominal fee'.

It's 1-1 at the moment between Germany and Turkey and old Torsten is having a poor game, but then as the old song goes.........FRINGS - can only get better!
Drrummmm........drrummmmmmmm....drrummmmmmmm........
That's the sound of my fingers drumming on my desk top, because there's nothing much happening.
If you want to know how quiet it is, the official Gulls website is going big on a picture of the groundsman on his mower today.
Still, it gives us a chance to discuss Euro 2008. Will it be a Turkey v Russia final, which it probably should be? Or will the relentless Germans and the blowing-hot-and-cold Spanish win through?
And is it just me, or has this been the best tournament for ages, and would that by any chance have anything to do with not having to put up with loads of hype about over-paid Premiership slackers and endless pictures of their girlfriends buying shoes?

Bucks is in Ireland at the moment, completing his UEFA A licence course.
There won't be a more highly-qualified manager in the BSP next season, that's for sure.
Meanwhile, there have been some moves elsewhere. Crawley have signed Halifax defender Jake Wright and are reported to be close to signing a keeper...
Grays are likely to pick up Brentford winger Charlie Ide, Ebbsfleet have picked up defender Darius Charles, also from Brentford and Altrincham have signed Matt Doughty from Halifax.

What's occurring? You may well ask, Nessa, you may well ask.
It's quiet at Plainmoor today, but there is news that the Sportsmen's and Ladies' Dinner on July 17 will be held at the club, such has been the speed of the renovations. Steve Kindon, who turned out for Wolves, Burnley and Huddersfield in the 70s and 80s, will be the main speaker, and the new away kit for 2008/2009 will be unveiled.
But is 'beef tomato' really a vegetarian option...? Vote in our poll on the right.
