Full report, stats and pictures from the York match are in Friday's Herald Express and at www.thisissouthdevon.co.uk
Bucks was interesting after the game last night. No-one is feeling the frustration more keenly than the Gulls boss, and he was full of praise for the fans who got behind the team.
He said: "We need to be better. It's as simple as that. It's a game we should have won, and we all know it."
Colin Walker, the York boss, was delighted with the draw and full of praise for his players' hard work and resilience. He said: "If somebody had offered me a draw before the match I'd have taken it."

FINAL SCORE - GULLS 1 YORK 1

So, undone by a late goal again.
At least the run of defeats is over, but this is a shadow of last season's team, at least at this stage of the season.
That'll teach me to do the Sodje joke, eh?
The sponsors man of the match is Chris Hargreaves. Sills has worked his socks off, too.
The fourth official signals three more minutes.

GOAL GULLS 1 YORK 1

York have got the hammer down now, with four minutes to go.
Two corners from Russell have been cleared and we're under some pressure.
And Sodje scores a belter in the 87th minute, running on to a flick from McBreen and lashing a right foot volley over Poke and into the top corner from 25 yards
First reporter: "Who was that?"
Second reporter: "Sodje"
First reporter: "Suit yourself, I only asked."
It will be a sad day in press boxes everywhere when the Sodje clan hang up their boots.
Into the last quarter of an hour, and Matt Green is getting ready to come on.
He replaces Dsane with 10 minutes to go.
York have made a double switch in the 70th minute, with Sodje and Russell replacing Farrell and Wilkinson.
That was a great finish from Danny Stevens. According to reports today Crawley manager Steve Evans tried to sign him and was told by Colin Lee that he's not for sale. Too right he's not.
York make another change in the 73rd minute, bringing on Henderson for Rusk.

GOAL - GULLS 1 YORK 0

And Danny scores with his first touch!
Hargreaves releases Carlisle on the right, Carlisle sends in a great cross, Sills knocks it back across the box and little Danny takes a touch before hammering it in from eight yards.
That's lifted the mood.
Hargreaves has a left foot shot from 20 yards after 62 minutes and it goes wide off Purkiss for a corner. York deal with the kick comfortably.
At the other end McGurk heads wide.
Danny Stevens is ready to come on, and he's coming on for Carayol after 64 minutes.
And the attendance tonight is 1,598, our lowest in the Blue Square.
An hour has gone by. No goals, and no movement on the benches so far.
A great tackle by Woods denies Farrell as the York striker bursts through the home defence on 53 minutes. Not only did he tackle him, he also hung on to the ball and cleared it. Quality.
And there isn't much of that on show tonight...
After a half-time interval featuring Setanta's great ball-in-the-box game, the players are out again.
No changes on either side.

HALF TIME - GULLS 0 YORK 0

In the minute of injury time Carayol shoots just wide of Ingam's goal, and that's the end of an unspectacular first half.
If you know anyone watching this on Setanta give them a ring in case they've nodded off and left the chips on.
Mansell volleys wide after 40 minutes after a nice set-up involving Robertson and Dsane.
Now Robertson is getting a lecture for a foul on Brodie. There's some bad feeling between these two.
Wayne Carlisle has just conceded a corner with a 70-yard misplaced back-pass.
York can't make it pay, though, and Robinson drives a shot into the directors' box.
Carayol shoots wide in the 38th minute. That was decent chance, too.
And Mansell doesn't get hold of the shot properly after being found by Carlisle in a good position right in front of goal.
The half-hour marks comes and goes, and it's still 0-0.
Roscoe is through on goal after some hard work by Carlisle and Sills, but the ball's too far in front of him and Ingam clears his lines.
After 24 minutes Robertson saves Woods' blushes, heading behind after Woods mishits a clearance.
Ingam denies Dsane again, this time saving the shot after Dsane was put through by Mansell. That was a great chance and a decent save, to say the least.
Some of the York fans behind their goal have peeled off their shirts. I say, this isn't Newcastle, you know...
First decent chance of the game goes to York after 15 minutes, but McGurk heads a free kick over the bar from close range thanks to the efforts of Mark Ellis.
Fifteen minutes down, and not much to report.
....and as I say that, Brodie curls a left-foot shot just wide from 20 yards for York.
York, playing in light blue shirts and claret shorts, appear to be playing 4-5-1 with Brodie dropping into midfield and McBreen on his own up front. York are playing towards the Ministand end, for those who remember those days.
Seven minutes gone, no score.
The players are out, and they're doing the handshake line-up thing either side of the halfway line. Setanta's cameras are rolling but there really aren't many people here for them to show. Two games in three days and some poor results are making themselves felt.
So will we come good tonight?
Certainly in the first half on Monday we were well on top and made plenty of chances, but we didn't put them away.
If Sills has his eye in tonight, we may finally get it right. And I'm still baffled by the absence of Benyon from the starting line-up....
Referee tonight is Brendan Malone from Wiltshire, about whom I have no amusing anecdotes.
Welcome to Plainmoor, where the evening sun is dipping behind the Pop Side and what looks like being a smallish crowd is filing in.
We are unchanged from Saturday, apart from Nicky Wroe joining the bench in place of Steve Adams. That means Poke in goal; Robertson, Woods, Ellis and Hodges across the back; Carlisle, Mansell, Hargreaves and Carayol across the middle and Sills and Dsane up front. Brough, Benyon, Green, Stevens and Wroe are on the bench.
York have an ex-Gull in the side, with Mark Robinson at left back. We wish him a good season, AFTER tonight.
So York are Ingam in goal, Purkiss, McGurk, Parslow and Robinson across the back; Rusk, Greaves, Wilkinson and Farrell across the middle, and McBreen and Brodie up front. On the bench are Kelly, Sodje, Russell, Mimms and Henderson.
Greaves was DT's player to watch in the Herald Express today, Josh Mimms is the son of ex-Spurs keeper Bobby, and Henderson isn't me...
There's a lot of Torquay United news in Thursday's Herald Express and at www.thisissouthdevon.co.uk including a full preview of the York game, a run-down on the opposition and all the behind-the-scenes news from Plainmoor in DT's diary.
But the story that catches the eye most of all is the news that Derek Brad has finally hung up his microphone and will no longer deliver commentary to Torquay's blind and partially-sighted fans.
In years gone by, Derek also broadcast to local hospitals, having come within a whisker of becoming part of the BBC commentary team at the 1970 World Cup in Mexico.
A real gent and a Gulls man through and through, we wish Derek a long and happy retirement.

Gulls v Salisbury slideshow

There are no new injury worries ahead of Thursday night's match against York, and Chris Todd's groin strain is improving with treatment, according to the manager.
However, he has indicated that after Monday's improved performance, he may be happy to stick with Steve Woods and Mark Ellis as his centre-back pairing for the live-on-Setanta encounter.

FINAL SCORE - GULLS 0 SALISBURY 1

Sandell of Salisbury picks up a card for a foul on Ellis, and that's it. Hugely disappointing, but by all accounts a step forward from Saturday's Crawley debacle.
Things can only get better....

GOAL - GULLS 0 SALISBURY 1

Best chance of the game and the closest Torquay have come to scoring. in the 88th minute Green knocks the ball down for Mansell, who shoots but sees his effort deflected wide for our eighth corner of the game.
But seconds later, in the 89th minute, Salisbury take the lead. They break down the left and Feeney curls in a cross which Griffin heads in from eight yards.
The fourth official indicates five minutes extra to be played.
Green and Carlisle run into each other trying to get to a Sills knock-down and the chance passes.
84 minutes gone and Ellis becomes the game's first player to get a booking, for a foul on Feeney.
Time to step up the pressure, Torquay, or this is going to go down as two points thrown away after all those chances in the first half.
Still no goals here and we're heading into the last 10 minutes.
We beat this lot 4-0 here last year, by the way, but we don't look like doing it today.
The man in the press box who had 0-0 in the sweep is looking pleased with his choice.
Two quick corners forced before Matt can get on, the second of which is headed wide by Ellis.
In the 74th minute Green comes on for Dsane, and at the same time Salisbury make their third and last change, bringing on Charlie Griffin for Matthews.
There's a bounce-up seven yards out, and I've never seen that before. It came after a huge scramble in which the ball got inextricably stuck. Hargreaves won the bounced ball, it broke for Mansell and his shot was deflected wide.
Danny's first act is a curling cross in from the left, but we've got no-one on the end of it and it bounces harmlessly off the advertising boards in front of the Family Stand.
Now Sills screws a shot wide wide from the edge of the box in the 71st minute.
Here comes another change, and this time it's Matt Green coming on.
Danny Stevens and Elliot Benyon are warming up now and here's the first change. Danny is coming on for Mustapha Carayol after 69 minutes.
A sudden burst of pace takes Carayol into the box where Bittner has to dive at his feet to block the shot. Mustapha keeps it in play and crosses it back into the box but Cook clears.
Mansell tries his luck from 30 yards in the 61st minute, but the shot is over the bar.
Attendance is 2,001.
Sangare is down in the box after a collision with Bittner and Sills, and needs some attention. It looks like a knock on the head, but fortunately he's up on his feet.
Surely it's only a matter of time before Benyon gets a run up front. We will have to find a way through, and Benyon has got to be better bet.
Sangare may be on his feet but he can't continue. He's off and Aaron Cook is on in his place. That's two injury-enforced changes for Salisbury.
An hour gone now...
Roscoe bursts through on the left but sees his shot blocked by Bittner in the 47th minute. Sills hits the rebound goalwards but it's a straightforward clearance for Matthew Robinson.
And away we go for the second half. with no changes on either side.
City force a corner in the first minute but Djoumin Sangare heads it wide.

Half Time - Gulls 0 Salisbury 0

City force their first corner in first half injury time and Matthew Robinson heads Feeney's kick over. It's the last action of a first half dominated by Torquay but with nothing to show for it.
Poke gathers another good cross from Feeney with Matthews closing in.
City are making a change in the 42nd minute. Wayne Turk is coming on for Ian Herring, who picked up a knock a couple of minutes ago and had to go off for treatment.
Darrell Clarke of City flicks the ball across the face of his own goal but we don't make the corner count. Roscoe goes down in the box under a challenge but he's gone down far too easily and the referee quite rightly waves play on.
There's a scare up in front of the famaily stand as Matthews beats Poke to a high ball and heads for goal, only for Woods to clear up the danger.
Seconds later at the other end Sills lobs the ball over Bittner but it lands on the roof of the net.
Thirty minutes gone...
Mansell shoots wide after 21 minutes after being set up by Dsane, and Salisbury aren't in the game at all at the moment.....which probably means we're about to go behind.....
And there's another chance gone begging as Robertson hooks the ball over the bar from six yards as City fail to clear the danger from a corner. One of these has got to go in in a minute, surely?
Feeney looks useful down the left for Salisbury, and Woods has just dealt well with a nice curling cross from the City winger.
15 minutes gone now, and it's all gone a bit quiet.
Five minutes gone and Sills puts a free header from six yards wide of the goal after a great cross from the left by Lee Hodges. Are we going to regret missing three great chances in the first skirmishes?
Three minutes gone and Sills heads a Carlisle cross straight at Bittner, but that's two great early chances created in a bright opening for the Gulls.
Torquay get a corner after 15 seconds. Swung in by Carayol it finds Robertson right in front of goal but he heads over the bar and into the away supporters.
Team news: We make four changes from Saturday's defeat at Crawley. Woods, Robertson, Sills and Ellis are in from the start. Out go Brough, Green, Nicholson and the suspended Thompson.
So we have Poke in goal, Robertson, Woods, Ellis and Hodges across the back; Carlisle, Mansell, Hargreaves and Carayol across the middle and Sills and Dsane up front. On the bench are Brough, Benyon, Green, Stevens and Adams.
Ex-Gull James Bittner is in goal for Salisbury, and here in the press box we reckon they will play 4-5-1 with Robinson, Bond, Sangare and Bartlett across the back; Clarke, Herring, Feeney, Fowler and Sandell across the middle and Matthews as a lone striker.
Referee is Wayne Barratt from Worcestershire.
