Truro City 1 Gulls 2

Goals from Elliot Benyon and Tim Sills in the first half put the Gulls in front in their friendly at Truro on friday night.
The home side, with Hockers wearing the captain's armband, pulled a goal back before the break with a stunning 25-yard volley, according to our man at the ground with the crumbly pasty and souvenir pixie.
Triallist Brett Johnston did well for us at centre-half.

The season ticket competition continues in Saturday's paper, by the way....
It's Truro tonight, and that means two things.
First, as it's the final friendly of the pre-season programme, you can expect Bucks to field what will be pretty much his starting XI for Histon, with Chris Hargreaves and his niggling lower back the only doubt.
Second, it's an early reunion with the mighty Hockers, who will be lining up for Truro tonight. He talks about his 'weird' night ahead in Friday's Herald Express and at www.thisissouthdevon.co.uk.
Ian Stonebridge, who played for us in a lively loan spell from Wycombe a couple of seasons ago, also lines up for the Cornish side, who are managed by ex-Argyle favourite Sean McCarthy.

Oh, and don't forget you can win SEASON TICKETS in the Herald Express today.

Goals have been scored by Benyon (5), Hodges (2), Sills (2), Carayol (2), Thompson and Yeoman.

Gulls v Chelsea XI pictures

Roscoe Dsane has been talking about the toughest 24 hours of his football life, playing two full games in 21 hours over the weekend.
It marks the latest stage in Roscoe's recovery from the shoulder injury he suffered at Wembley, and you can read all about it in Tuesday's Herald Express and at http://www.thisissouthdevon.co.uk/
There is also news of another fixture switch to accommodate a Setanta game. We will now be playing at Rushden and Diamonds on Sunday October 12, not the day before.
Again, it's all in the Herald today.

DEJA VU

Just as they did on Thursday night, the Gulls lost on penalties to Eastleigh.
The final of the Errea Tournament at Bideford ended with a 2-2 scoreline. Eastleigh moved into a two-goal lead by the 70th minute, but the Gulls scored twice in the space of two minutes through Yeoman and Carayol to level the scores.
The shootout went to Eastleigh 5-4, to complete a busy few days for Torquay United and a lively and successful Errea Tournament.
A few days of breathing space now, then we're off to Truro to see Hockers!
All the details in Monday's Herald Express and at www.thisissouthdevon.co.uk

GULLS 1 YEOVIL 1 (Gulls win 5-3 on pens)

THE Errea adventure continues!
The Gulls beat Yeovil on penalties last night to secure a place in this afternoon's final against Eastleigh at Bideford.
Elliot Benyon made light of the jet lag after playing against Chelsea in the afternoon to put us in front from the penalty spot after Nicko had been fouled, only for Yeovil to equalise 10 minutes from the end.
Penalty scorers in the shootout for us were fit-again Roscoe Dsane, Steve Adams, Nicko, Chris Robertson and Martin Rice.
Catch up with all the action from a breathless weekend in Monday's Herald Express and at www.thisissouthdevon.co.uk
