Jack Compton, son of ex-Gull and new youth team boss Paul, will be among the triallists hoping to impress when the squad gets back together for pre-season training at Newton Abbot racecourse tomorrow.
The 18-year-old left winger has been released by West Brom, but really caught the eye during a loan spell at Weymouth. One of his games there was a 0-0 draw with Torquay, and he also impressed during a Setanta televised game.
