NEWTON ABBOT 0 GULLS 7

Elliot Benyon enhanced his reputation as a clinical finisher with four goals in last night’s 7-0 friendly victory over Newton Abbot at Coach Road.
Benyon – who had already brushed home United’s eighth minute opener from close range – struck again in the 54th, 57th and 60th minutes.
Newton Abbot battled for all they worth but the Carlsberg South West Peninsula League Premier side had no answer to a Torquay side fired up and raring to go from the off.
Lee Hodges scored twice and Tim Sills got the other goal.
